Tests run on an Intel Core2Duo running at only 1.86 Ghz showed that Rundumvideo runs as fast as never before. While realtime-encoding and distorting an HDTV-video five other videos where shown at the same time on a second display. All applications used the same core and could be viewed accurate and fluently. |

Currently we are engaged in testing HDTV-cameras. These cameras have a four times higher resolution then there relatives in DV-quality. We combine these cameras with special mirror optics as well as fisheye lenses and try to distort the resulting video in real-time. What worked trouble-free on our DV-recordings means a great challenge for the work with HDTV because a four times higher resolution means a four times higher data rate. But using the multimedia-operating-system ZETA we worked out a solution to distort the video in real-time – and the windows version quickens every day… |
