1. Courses and training materials for instructing school staff how to use IT for teaching.
After assessment of the teacher’s training needs in Tajikistan
and after sharing experience and best practice models in IT- training
approach with the Sweden and German consortium members:
•
a review comparing training needs and further training proposals will
be discussed,
•
a concept of didactic and methodology for training courses will be
developed,
•
Teacher’s training courses will be prepared

Training courses unitised in several modules shall be delivered at
two levels, basic level for
teachers to acquaint with the approach to apply IT for education and
to base their teaching performance
on assistance through software tools. They shall be encouraged to attract
the interest of
students by using software applications, even downloading from the
Internet. The second advanced
level shall focus on different subjects and on the didactic approach
how they shall be
delivered with software support showing the advantages teachers have
in preparation and delivery.
Between both levels teachers shall be obliged to prepare some presentations
by themselves
which shall be reviewed by master trainers and university teachers
at the beginning of the advanced
sessions.
2. Performance of training of master trainers in Chkalovsk.
Equipment according to project outline will be purchase. After installation of equipment and software, adaptation and specification of network management and software administration, working places for e-learning in a special computer centre will be available. Furthermore an Internet access will be provided.
Definition of qualifications and requirements for master trainers;
invitation of applications by
Teachers, interested to become master trainers, recruiting competition
to test their qualifications
and whether they meet the requirements as master trainers. Selected
trainers must have some affinity towards IT and a relevant level of
language proficiency in English.
Elaborated training courses shall be divided into different training
modules allowing trainers and
trainees to participate in a step by step approach. After each module
achieved skills and competencies
shall be discussed.
Demonstration tools shall show the opportunities teachers have to apply
IT for delivering their
lectures in computer aided visual formats. They shall be considered
as samples and base on standard
software applications.
3. Performance of training courses for school teachers in 2 regions.
Teachers from SCAN shall be trained on a subject oriented level empowering
them to make better
use of trained competences and skills. Therefore the selection of teachers
will primarily be
targeted at young teaching staff; probably at university graduates
going into teaching who are
prepared to introduce changes into the teaching process more easily.
The selection board will
include representatives of the Collegia network and consortium members.
Which SCAN-member in which region shall be involved has to be decided
according to the
standards of performance they deliver. A preliminary selection of teachers
shall be done by the
headmasters following criteria which have been defined by the consortium.

4. Availability of course materials on the Internet portal as reference for participating teachers.
All materials from the courses will be available in Internet .
5. Information materials for dissemination and project sustainability.
Based on the selection round special interest groups shall be invited to exchange experience and define jointly their need of IT expertise. An Internet forum for experts established at this project website can be used as platform for this exchange process.
6. Documents of the project management, Quality control, benchmarking
and monitoring.
These documents are available for consortium members and EU experts who will evaluate the project progress and compliance.
